This lets you know what will need to be done to your Ruger SP101 to enable your Revolver Seal to function.
There is a permanent modification that will need to be made to your HRR in order for your kit to work properly: A through hole drilled to size #27.
To assist with drilling the hole into the frame, you can download for free the HRR .22 drilling fixture .STL file to 3D print.
Alternatively, you can purchase the Heritage Rough Rider .22 Drilling Fixture.
Assembly overview
(Note: always treat firearm as if it is loaded and point in a safe direction):
1
Remove the hammer pivot pin. Hammer will move slightly out of alignment.
2
Insert the larger bolt through the left shell and then in the place of the hammer pivot pin. Hammer will need to be moved slightly to align the holes (don’t cock hammer during this step). Smaller bolt goes in other hole. Note: Larger bolt threads into HRR and smaller bolt is a through hole.
3
Load the firearm
4
Put right shell on fitting bolts through its respective holes.
5
Tighten down nuts: If you find gas escaping while shooting, try snugging nuts down more. (Note that the force needed is more than you may expect.)
